The automotive brands "Original Fit®". "AutoLign®", and "Original Fit by AutoLign®" are Registered Trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. All brands were originally created, and currently owned, by company, ООО «Ориджинал Фит®» (Original Fit® Corporation) of Moscow Russia. Original Fit® (1994) and AutoLign® (1997) were both founded to manufacture automobile spare parts in Detroit. Original Fit Corporation is a diversified international corporation with operations in the USA, Canada, Taiwan, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Our portfolio of companies not only include our automotive operations, but also companies engaged in selling pharmaceuticals and ladies clothing.
Original Fit and AutoLign have both grown organically and through acquisitions. Four manufacturing companies were bought by AutoLign Manufacturing Group, Inc. These companies include The Colonel's Bumpers in Michigan, Turbo Automotive in Michigan, Perfect Plastics in Pennsylvania, and TAI - Truck and Auto Imaging in Georgia. In 2007, the bumper manufacturing factory in Milan Michigan of AutoLign Manufacturing Group, Inc., ceased operations in the USA. This 381,000 square foot facility was the largest manufacturer of independent automotive aftermarket collision repair parts in North America. All bumpers are now manufactured in Taiwan and brought into the USA through the AutoLign Manufacturing Group division of Original Fit Corporation. In 2010, the warehouse and offices of AutoLign and Original Fit in Troy Michigan and Southfield Michigan were both closed and merged into our Canadian office, about 20 miles away, in Windsor Ontario Canada. Bumpers now come in 40 foot ocean containers from Taiwan to wholesale distributors in the USA, who, in turn, supply us with bumpers to fill our Internet orders.
AutoLign has a long rich heritage in the collision repair parts industry. The Colonels (acquired by AutoLign in 1998) was the first company to manufacture an aftermarket bumper cover in 1982. AutoLign was the first aftermarket collision parts manufacturer to have their factory registered to the ISO-9000 quality system and the first aftermarket collision parts manufacturer to be registered to the OEM QS-9000 quality system. The programs in place today to ensure the quality of aftermarket collision repair parts were created by copying the quality systems at AutoLign's factory. Over the years, we have manufactured and sold over 3 million bumpers. We continue this commitment to quality collision repair parts today with our Internet websites, autolign.com and originalfit.com.
